Acceptable Use Policy — Guest WiFi

The rules for using a venue WiFi network reached through FetePass, and what is logged while you are on it.

FetePass is in private preview. The software is complete and runs against the real systems it will run against in service — the same database, the same payment rail, the same gate. What is not settled is the company behind it: FetePass is not yet incorporated, holds no money-services licence, and has not taken a real payment. So the registered company name and number, the registered office, the published contact addresses, the fee schedule and some retention periods are marked to be confirmed before launch rather than invented. They will be filled in here, with a new date on this page, before FetePass takes its first real payment.

During the preview: no real money moves — the fiat top-up is switched off in the product, not merely unlinked — and anything you are shown in a demonstration may be reset. Everything on the screen still comes from real data: FetePass does not put invented events, venues, prices or people in front of anyone, so an empty surface is an empty surface rather than a mock-up.

Guest WiFi is not running anywhere yet. No venue is offering a FetePass WiFi session today, and no session data exists. This policy is published in advance so that the rules are settled before the first venue switches one on.

1. Whose network it is

The network belongs to the venue. FetePass provides the sign-in screen and the record of your session; the venue provides the connection and pays for it. Providing a public telecommunications service is licensed in these islands — in Anguilla by the Public Utilities Commission — and whether in-premises guest WiFi needs a licence, and who must hold it, is to be confirmed before launch with each regulator. No venue goes live until that answer is in hand.

2. What you may not do on it

• Anything unlawful in the island you are standing in.
• Copyright infringement, including downloading or sharing material you have no right to.
• Scanning, probing or attacking any network or device; spoofing another user; trying to get around the sign-in or the bandwidth limits.
• Sending bulk unsolicited messages of any kind.
• Harassment, threats, or sexual material involving children.
• Running a server, a mining operation, or reselling the connection.
• Anything that degrades the network for the other guests.

3. What is logged

There is no privacy in the technical record of a connection, and you should not treat a guest network as private. What we record is:

• When the session started and ended, and at which venue.
• The device identifier the network sees, and the amount of data transferred.
• The account that signed in, if you signed in with a FetePass account.

What we do not do:

• We do not inspect, record or store the content of your traffic.
• We do not attach a session to you personally unless you opt in; by default a session is attributed to the venue, not to a person.
• We do not hand your session to the venue as a personal record. The venue sees counts and patterns, not who did what.

How long session records are kept is to be confirmed before launch, and it will be the shortest period that meets the operator’s legal obligations. Saint Lucia’s telecommunications rules place a confidentiality duty on operators, and we treat that duty as applying everywhere: your communications are not disclosed except where the law actually requires it.

4. Security is your own

A guest network is shared. Use HTTPS, do not do your banking on it if you would rather not, and keep your device up to date. The venue and FetePass are not responsible for what other people on the network do.

5. If you break these rules

The session can be cut, the device blocked, and repeated or serious abuse can cost you your FetePass account under the Terms of Service. Where the law requires it, and only then, we cooperate with a lawful request from an authority.

6. No promise of service

Guest WiFi is offered as it is. Coverage, speed and uptime are the venue’s, and neither the venue nor FetePass promises that it will work at any given moment.
